Having read the various threads about the ure of the Merlin/Orion with the Papywizard software, it struck me that this device might make a nice control unit for the device:

You will note that there are a number of models in the range, including a 10" screen one, and that a bluetooth module to connect is available off the shelf.
I might be wrong but I think it also has the necessary TTL outputs too.
Comments please?

I couldn't find any detailed tech specs for CUWin but initial thoughts are:
1. AFAIK Papywizard doesn't run on Windows CE.
2. Screen resolution is no better than the Nokia tablets.
3. It is expensive.
4. Can it run on batteries?
So my conclusion is that it offers nothing over and above the Nokia 700, N800 and N810 range of Nokia Internet Tablets as a potential host for Papywizard.
If you want something with a larger screen - and more resolution - to run Papywizard than a Nokia Tablet you would be better off with a laptop, netbook, Tablet PC running either Linux or Windows XP.
I'll stick with my secondhand Nokia 770 and N800 Internet Tablets and my ancient IBM Thinkpad laptop running Windows 2000.

I also think that a Nokia is a better solution...
