Help needed to fix pano

Hi, new to autopano pro need help to fix the problem in the attached shot.

Notice the misalignment in the green color circle area after final render with smart blend.
But the bottom part where the chairs are perfectly aligned.

My global RMS is 3.44

Sorry can't show full images as its for an actual job.

Thanx

Re: Help needed to fix pano

Difficult to say why the door isn't closing accurately when we see only the key hole roll
You should give more information on shooting, stitching parameters, how are links and CP's. From some screen captures under APP, nobody will try to steel your job.

As Marco says, without some more information it's hard to help but with a Global RMS of 3.44 I suspect a review of Control Points might reveal some less than good matches:

Re: Help needed to fix pano

Thanx for your help, its not that I am afraid anyone will steal the job but its more that the client will not want their pix posted online.

This is basically a cylindrical 360 shot for a VR tour. It is shot with 1DS Mk II on a Manfrotto 303 setup. Lens use is 17-40mm f4/L on the 17mm end.  The shots are shot on Av Mode with a aperture setting on f/16. Shot 10 pix.

This is basically a hotel ballroom...if anyone who wanna take a look I can email the link. But can't post. smile

Thanx

Are you shooting a single row with camera in portrait orientation? If so, 10 shots sounds like it might give excessive overlaps between images.

Can you not even post a cpouple of screenshots, like those below - showing links and overlaps?

If not I doubt anyone can really help you.

Re: Help needed to fix pano

Open the Control Points editor, select the link between the two photos, remove the CPs in the CP Editor, then draw rectangles around the two overlapping areas once in each shot, then hit enter to let APP find CPs in there. Then hit the Optimize button.
CP Editor guide

If that wont work well, try using the Customized Fine Tuner button also in the CP Editor and then optimize when its done.

Hi,

Ok...here the screenshot.

Some ideas:

1. the shots are very underexposed - this may be causing APPs auto CP detection some problems.

2. I suspect you have more overlap than is necessary/desirable - 8-around should be enough.

3. You have some repeating elements  - around the ceiling and a lot of very similar chairs and tables - this often confuses APP's auto CP detection.

4. Are you confident that you have the camera/lens set at the correct NPP?

So use the Control Point Editor to:

1. Remove links between any but adjacent images (ie. image 2 should link to image 1 and image 3 but not to any other images, and so on). Then re-optimise.

This may be enough, but if not then continue with CP Editor to:

2. Review the placement of control points to check they are valid - remove those that are not, add some if you can on parts of the scene further from the camera. Then re-optimise.

This should improve things.

Re: Help needed to fix pano

Thanx.

1. These are raw file, and part of bracketed set. but the v1.9 keep crushing. so no choice...i just use the medium exposure ones..and then adjust after the pano is done. Was thinking of doing 3 pano (different exposure), and then photoshop mask and paint to get optimum exposure.

2. Ok will try 8 next round.

3. No choice there.. smile

4. Yes confident

Will try to do what u suggest and let u know later.

Thanx

First of all, try using v1.4.2, you should have better luck.  The v1.9 Giga-APPro alpha that is now available has some major bugs. sad  We're all patiently awaiting for Alexandre to release the next alpha version. smile

Second, have you tried to process each set of bracketed images first, and then just using the processed images?
