Half more degrees problem

Hello there,
I please everybody for a help.
My Merlin moves around half more degrees then the PW shows (I am connected from N800 or PC to Merlin through Kolor BT module).
For example on N800 I move the head with the ondisplay buttons vertically 30° but the head moves 45°. Horizontal 90° moves the head more than 120°. Same with presets. But the moves are precise - always the same degrees. Back and forth = always around 1.5 multiplier.
With the T&C Handcontroller it runs normal way!
Does anybody think, that it could be BT module fault?

I am unable to reproduce the problem you report.

I am using Papywizard v. 2.1.21 on a Nokia N800 and the Panogear/Deltawave Papymerlin Bluetooth adapter.

Did you set the Reference point (from within Papywizard) after powering up the Panogear/Merlin mount and connecting to the head and before moving using the Papywizard arrow buttons?

................

One of the things that can disturb positioning is light leaking through the bubble level on the Panogear/Merlin and affecting the optical encoder on the yaw axis. It's worth checking that the underside of the bubble level, inside the battery cover, is opaque; a bit of black sticky tape will suffice.

But this doesn't sound to be the cause of your problem because you also report problems on the the pitch axis.

Re: Half more degrees problem

Now I've tried it with serial cable from PC PapyWizard to Merlin and everything is the same. One and half angle multipliers.
Why the hell are the angles OK with T&C handcontroller and with PW not? That's a mystery to me.

Re: Half more degrees problem

Can you post some logs (turn it to 'trace' before) on a few moves?

Re: Half more degrees problem

It looks like I'm out of troubles. I remebered that on the old motherboard I have had connected pins (on image). On the new motherboard it wasn't nor on returned head from service.
I shortened the pins and the problems are gone.

At first I've played so long inside the arm so I shortened something and buned up the motherboard (by inbuiding BT module).
With the new motherboard I've had this "half more degrees problem" and random constant-rotation fault.
With newest motherboard from service I've had only the "half more degrees problem".
The shortened pin solved my problem!
