[PTP 1.8 WinXP/32] Bing maps type control default setting

When using the Bing map layer in the Panotour map Extra feature, you can choose to display a map type control - screenshot 1.

The default initial map type appesrs to be Satellite, rather than Map or Hybrid - as in screenshot 2.

Satellite is probably the least appropriate/useful type to be the default initial map type.

I feel that the default initial map type should be Map - as in screenshot 3.

Better still the user should be able to choose the intial map type from the PTP GUI.

Re: [PTP 1.8 WinXP/32] Bing maps type control default setting

Hello Andrew,

The default view is not Satellite, but the view you set  in the hotspot editor when clicking on the icon "use as default view".
When you click on this icon PTP gets the kind of layer set in PTP, the center of the map, and the zoom level of the map.
Those 3 parameters are then set in the tour.
So if you are using the "Map" layer in PTP when you click on this icon, the default layer in the tour will be the "Map" layer.

Best Regards,
Gérald

Oh....that's excellent; now why did I not notice that.

Thanks for the tip.
