Re: Private apartment HDRi

Hi..

Sorry, I have to be honest... Yuck, says it all.. Not the pano but rather your choice of HDR effect.... Try using Photomatix with Fusion/Realistic which would be LDR. Its the Blacks I do not like... I try to keep my ISO down to 100 with my D800 for in doors to avoide Photomatix picking up on the noise when using a high ISO... If I had more RAM in my iMac, I would be using my 35mm Prime but even though I know its shaper then a fisheye, my iMac will not coup iwth the image size...  Great gear you have; I am using my D800 with 14/24 and my NN4. I will use the Fusion/Realistic when I get to process them in a couple more weeks...

Re: Private apartment HDRi

Hi

May I ask what EVs did you use and how many bracketed shots... Your lights seem to be blown and your blacks are noisy. It also looks like you used a very high ISO setting..This would account for the blacks... Also, did you capture using RAW....

Question was more to do with it's relevance to the pano - why does the pano need music?

I was shooting with ISO 100. I found an error in EVs. Three-shot bracketing. Thanks for your important comments and recommendations.

Music in interior panoramas is a good addition for comfortable viewing.

yes but what you did not considered is that per Default the Sound volume is set to 100%.
I've a PC-Standard 5.1 soundsystem with 100W Subwoofers... and entereing Sound enabled pano-tours (not only yours) results in a massive shock and the hasty search Begins to find the switchoff button...
so you did no use ptp 1.8 with no Sound control builtin Options... you used krpano, so please think about editing the XML files to Switch Sound volume to 50% or build a volumecontrol so users can choose their personal taste soundlevel....

I couldn't have envisioned such a problem - my computer is connected with a HDMI cable to an external processor, where the volume is limited. Of course, if the sound goes through the analog channel from the sound card - I can imagine this nightmare!
I fixed it - lowered the volume on all of my works. Thank you! This is what the forum is for, else I woudln't have learned about this problem.
