AP splits my panorama

Hello guys,

i am really facing a problem here.
Just updated to AP 3.0.3

Now I imported 12 images from a panorama of my studio. Made with pan-head and fullframe.

At first it made me 2 panoramas - one with 4 one with 8 images. So i clicked "force all images to be in one panorama"

ok - First the different images lay like layers - 4 over 12 and so on.
So im moved this 1 - to 12 side by side.
Ok

I went to controlpoint editor and checked the controlpoints.
As soon as i click on optimize - ap makes me again 2 Panoramas - one over the other.

How can i get that working correctly?

Sorry - my english is not that good, as it should be - but i hope you understand my issues. A picture of the problem is here: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/296456/panoprob.JPG

what do you mean "pan-head"?

Camera? Lens? shooting-mode? Would be nice to know at least the basics for helping you! wink

best, Klaus

If you want something you´ve never had,
then you´ve got to do something you´ve never done.

Which panorama head do you have?

Which camera and lens did you use?

What is the shooting pattern? One row or more rows? How many images per row?

At first it made me 2 panoramas - one with 4 one with 8 images. So i clicked "force all images to be in one panorama"

If you shot a single row you should set the layout option accordingly, and set Detection quality to High - see screenshot below.

However with a lot of 'featureless' white walls you may still have a challenge to stitch these images.

Re: AP splits my panorama

Hello guys,

i could fix it smile

One great tipp was the "detection quality to hig"

The other thing, i could fix by manually searching for controlpoints in the controlpoint editor. Everything working great. Thank you!

Glad you learned how to fix it.

Make sure you have no more than about 30% overlap between images, more often leads to a less good stitch due to superfluous links being created between non-adjacent images.
