XML Editing

Good Day,

In alot of the posts i have seen that people say at one time or another that the solution lies in editing the XML file. I would have no clue to where to even start editing the xml.

Is there a basic guide or tutorial on how to edit xml files to acheive different results? I would really appreciate some help.

I am running Panotour 1.8, sorry for the newbie question!
