Good Day, I have read over the first 10 pages of the forum to make sure this topic has not been covered.
Is there a way to convert a rotating Virtual Tour into a Video File.
The use for this is a client would like to display an ongoing video of individual hotspots at an expo.
Would really appreciate some help.

In theory I suppose the answer is yes, using some screen capture software; but for all practical purposes the answer is no.
If the requirement is to be able to display automatically a sequence of autorotating panos then you can do it with some XML coding; see this recent thread:

Alernatively a simple way of doing this is to use Pano2VR to convert your panos to Flash then use 360panogallery to sequence the scenes:

I would say... Nope.. PAL uses 25 fps, so unless you stretched it out you would be at it for hours capturing the screen shots but even so, 100 screen shots would give you the grand total of 4 seconds of video.. So not much point..

I guess you missunderstood what he said by capturing screen he mean't using for exemple fraps which capture a video of your screen

It´s done with ww2.360panotours.com - but this takes, as Andrew mentioned already, no files from PanoTour/Pro but only from
Gardengnome´s Pano2VR.
Forget about PAL and 25fps . . .

Have you ever used it 'in anger' - I tried it once (on a Windows PC) and was not impressed by the results I was able to achieve.
And I think only output format is a Quicktime movie which would require most users to download and install Quicktime to play/view it.

on the other hand the user needs Flash for viewing 360gallery . . . so it doesn´t work on iDevices . . like QT 
So making a movie in an iDevice-compatible format would be nice - but a movie for displaying a tour isn´t clever at all i mean for several reasons . .

I have done it for a client in the past for a dvd presentation.
You can map the panoramic image into a sphere in 3ds max or any 3d or compositing software then create a camera and render a sequence.
I saw some 3d anim in your site maybe you could try this

hmmm. the most simple solution would be to use screen caputureing the walk through the panos...
and than convert the video to desired format.

I have done this several times. My solution is time consuming and not cheap, although the results are fantastic. I make a lot of night sky timelapse movies and occasionally I'll stitch a hemisphere of the night sky and then want to move a "virtual camera" through the scene in a video. I do this with the Trapcode Horizon plugin for After Effects, render it out, and then import the scene into Premiere Pro like any other video segment. If you are patient, you can get very good results, like a camera on a dolly and 3 axis head. Looks fantastic! The use of the plugin is not very intuitive however, so it does take time and patience.
I'm still searching for a plugin that can animate a "little planet" projection transitioning to a normal projection in a smooth action. Trapcode Horizon will not do a stereographic projection. Here is the plugin: http://www.redgiant.com/products/all/trapcode-horizon/
