either I'm blind or I just can't find a numeric rotate for the whole pano?

Do the 'edges' stitch together?

Check by relocating the centre point. And checking whether APG believes the HFOV is 360 degrees.

If so then I have to presume that your pano head wasn't level?

Did you use a robotic pano head? If so, which brand/model?

If you didn´t shoot 360° you wouldn´t be able to "close" the cylinder. But with a cylinder it´s easier than it is with a sphere: maybe you can "close" the gap by retouching!
The very unregularly structure of the mountains maybe helpful.

Maybe you can generate faces and close the gap in one of them. I never did that with a cylinder . . but it might work!

because of the "wave" I would have to crop some mountain tops ... or reconstruct sky in PS later (which is a bit of a problem because of the size of the gigapixel ... ~580.000 Pixels width)
Will try Automatic Horizon - maybe it works!

just looked at the control points of the mountain-cross ... they are completly messed up ... :-/

Sorry: i was wrong - but was correct in my first answer regarding this.

The vertical-line-tool very well works with cylinders.

Works in planar- and spherical projection also. I use it for spheres nearly all the time, when i have the camera/head unlevelled up to 45°. This is VERY wavy, believe me . .

Hi Andreas,

In gigapan import, there is check box 'Force 360 panorama' in the settings. If this one is not checked, then Autopano will not search for links between the first and last column. Therefore the panorama will never be seen as 360.
