I'm having a real headache stitching a panorama of 120 TIFF-16 images, and the CR2 photos were taken a ISO 100, 1/400 and f/10.
I been applying vignetting adjustments in PS using variations from 5 to 52 with no difference at all in the result in APG. The question here is: what I'm doing wrong????
In the other due that I was not able to resolve the problem before generate the panorama, I decide to work image-by-image, checking the Layer option and that I will get several layers that I can manipulate in PS with Lens Correction, however, I just found out this option is disabled... I try changing the pano size, and any other option available in the render window with no result to activate that option.... Again... what I'm doing wrong here???
The contrast in the image was increase to show the problem.
Any help will be appreciated...
Thanks,
R.

Hi Ronald
Are you sure that this problem belongs to vignetting ?
This white spots at the upper image edge isn't typically for vignetting.
Vignetting manifests itself mostly as dark bands in the blending zones.
And at f/10 usually there is no more relevant vignetting.
Have you activated the color correction in APG ?

Well, I only can tell you this, the level of the "vignetting" or whatever it is is affected every time the TIFF are generated with a different vignetting adjustment in PS; that's why I'm assuming a vignetting issue.... I been working in this panorama for several days trying to make it blend correctly, but, nope!! I been trying using color correction with all the possible options, no color correction... using the anchor in many several places...
Here is the screenshot from the APG without the crop....

Setting the Multiband Level to 0 (from the default -2) gives the maximum blending and will reduce banding (at the expense of an overall "flatter" feel to the colour rendition)

Better don´t use PS for anti-vignetting - doen´t work really good as i experienced several times. Did you try to use the images as they are in APG and use the colorcorrection?

Hi Ronald
Your second screen shot looks like you have something like "negativ" vignetting,
brighter corners and lighter in the middle.
This suggests that the correction of vignetting is much to strong.
I Think, shooting with aperture f/10 should not cause vignetting any more.
Have you try it without correcting vignetting?
What lens do you use ?

As I mentioned in my original post, I been trying anti vignetting from +5 to +52, also, I been using the TIFF images without any vignetting correction and also with the original CR2 files, and yes, the vignetting effect changes from dark to light areas or from the edges to the center.... the point is that, at the end the panorama has some sort "vignetting" problem... The lens used was a 24-105mm L at the maximum zoom and f/10 (mounted in a 1DMKIII)

Hi Ronald
This zoom lens have lot of vignetting with open aperture values.
You can see this eg. here: http://www.kenrockwell.com/canon/lenses/24-105mm.htm
But at 105mm and with f/10 there is only very little vignetting and can be solved easily.
Try out different multiband levels to see if it is really caused by vignetting.
If so, use canon software or the correct lens profile in PS to solve it.

Just a quick question in regards of the multiband settings; that option was disabled on purpose or is an issue introduce in APG3.0?? I been doing testing using APG 2.6.4 which allows you to change the multiband value (advanced settings) just before rendering....
So far, using multiband value = 0 with TIFF images without vignetting correction, the panorama improves, but still the vignetting is noticeable....

Hi
I confirm this bug in APG 3.03 (test version). There is no advanced settings for blending in the render dialog box.
They have forgotten the drop-down arrow, it's a running gag since version 2.x ![]()
In the main setting menu, it's there.
With multiband level 0, the blending area is greatest, so vignetting is least visible.
Do you use the correct lens profile in PS ?
I'm not a canon shooter, but isn't there any software from canon to correct vignetting ?

Hi,
Ok... so, there is not need to report that bug again...
Yes, I did try with a range from -4 to 4... and with multiband set to 0 the vignetting is less noticeable but still is not good enough.
To be honest, I don't know exactly where to adjust the lens profile in PS, even when is the only software used to do all the adjustments in my photos (exposure, white balance, contrast, vignetting, etc), I didn't find anything in the Canon software used (Digital Photo Professional) to adjust the vignetting...
I guess that I should put that panorama in hold until I find a tool to fix the vignetting issues in a better way.... ![]()

The easy way to remove vignetting is DXO. I'm sure there are calibrated modules for your camera and lens (check it out first).
It removes vignetting, perfect, automatic ![]()

Hi Ronald
To work with lens profiles in PS, you find all informations and downloads (Lens Profile downloader) here:
http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/mult … oom-4.html
Without the correct lens profile, PS isn't able to correct the vignetting perfectly.
Once you have loaded the lens profiles, Adobe Camera RAW and PS is able to correct the lens distortion and vignetting.
