Great news. Until now, i didn´t make a decision which netbook to buy as portable control unit. Being able to choose between windows and adroid as platform for papywizard gives more choices for the hardware.

And if you are seeking for a pattern generator for panorama use ... i know where you can find this i would be glad if you include a link in papywizard documentation, or make a sticky in the forum.

yes, i know about the advantages of the TC controler. Light as a feather, very small, power consumption near zero.

But my thoughts concerning a netbook are ... when being abroad, a netbook is nut just a controler, it is a complete (but slooooow) computer that gives me the chance to have a first look at the fotos for  "aha, they are good" or "must be redone". And it is much smaller than the aging Laptop i have now.

Mmm, that's a good idea! I will try to install all Papywizard dependencies on my RPi, to see if it can work.

Don't know for Ubuntu on Android, but pytq does exists on raspbian:

I got myself a Raspberry Pi and everything works very nicely!

I can remote desktop from my laptop into the R Pi with an Ethernet connection, get Papywizard running, then disconnect the connection and everything runs nicely.

I have a 12V 7Ah Li ion battery to run the Merlin and a DC/DC converter to give me the 5V for the P Pi to run this thing for long time lapse sequences.

I'm just about to start the first field tests on location in Iceland!!
