Different dimensions but from the same shoot/setup?

Hi Guys,

I think there was a similar topic a few months ago but was never really answered, so here goes...

I am often finding that in APG I am importing images through the papywizard tool and the final output sizes (pixel dim) of each panorama is different.  I was on a shoot yesterday and I didn't change a thing except for exposure in camera.  I didn't change the lens or speed of shooting and my output sizes are radically different (see picture below).

I am using a VR Drive II with a D600, 20mm lens and a 3 frame bracket - HDR mode on the VR drive so the frames are 2 stops apart each.

Has anyone else had this issue or could shed some light on why/how this happens?
Also let me know if you need more information, I just dont know what else to add...

Thanks!
Andy

Re: Different dimensions but from the same shoot/setup?

if you make the fist pano and save it as template.
and later you take the images from 2nd and third run... and do apply the template from first to 2nd and 3rd...
than the dimensions should be equal.
why: there are the same CP points used and so all in all same stitching applied.

for using a VR drive with import xml plugin wizzard I think the RMS detected are very high and also very different to each other.
did you manually add/change the CPs to optimize them, to lower the RMS...

Thanks Georg!

I'll try making a template next time and let you know!
I did play with the RMS a bit by cleaning some CPs up - I usually have between 3.5-6 RMS with the VR drive but occasionally get something wacky or a little dust turns into a big deal with a stitch.

Re: Different dimensions but from the same shoot/setup?

Ok, so this might be a silly question but here goes...

So how do I load the template into a new render?  I've saved a template from a previous render, and it looks good but I dont know how to load that template and apply it to my next one...

Thanks so much!
