V Tour with icons that open a small video window

Hi,

I need to create a 360 VT inside a factory. On each 360 panorama there would be 3 or 4 industrial machines, I need to have a small video icon on each that will open a small window to play a video clip with audio of the machine being operated.

I have been browsing around to find examples of Panotours with this and how to build it but havnt found such.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

heart icons have video or photo gallery (slideshow)
adding a video hotspot is a basic feature of PTP

Select a video file as the Link/Object and a custom hotspot graphic as the Display/Object.

If you use a format that supports transparency - such as PNG - then your custom hostpot graphic can appear to have an irregular shape (like those hearts in the example mentioned above).

Many thanks Mediavets!!

What will be the best video output specs to play aprox 30-45 seconds of video in a small window to have it play smoothly with ok quality with little video loading time?

Thanks!

The supported formats are listed - see screenshot.

In general keep the size (dimensions) of the video as small as possible, likewise frame rate and audio bit rate.

What software will you use to create the video?

..............

I guess you are aware that PTP 1.8 doesn't support video on the iDevice platforms?

Re: V Tour with icons that open a small video window

Ok. Great! Thanks!

I have both, Adobe primere Pro CS6 and FCPX, but most probably I will be using FCPX, unless you recommend Premiere for some reason.

I will also need to embedd video inside tv monitors in two 360 Panoramas, I guess that will be as easy to do right?

Many thanks!

Yes, im aware 1.8 doesnt support for mobile devices, which is a bummer. Hopefully that will change with 2.0, and I keep wishing it comes out very soon.

I guess video can play on mobile devices through a link that opens another window or similar?

To do that draw a Rectangular hotspot where you wish to display the video and then select the video file as the Display/Object.

The video clip will play immediately on download. Clicking on the video will toggle pause/play. It will loop continuously.
