I have been having problems with panotour pro for sme time now. Some times its takes a lot of times to open, but at the end it open and work correctly.
But some times PTP doesn't want to open, and other times it can be opened but i can not open any project or only some of them.

Now i have to finish a tour, but I can not open it at all. I can open other one but not the one I need.

I have just save the project as ussual.

I have tried all the way to open it but, it starts to load and suddenly the PTP crash down.

Please a need some help.

Regards

Roberto

How large is the tour?  How many pano images and what size is each image?

What is the hardware spec. of the systems on which you are trying to open the tour?

Re: I can not open the project

was the project file created by same ptp version you now try to open with?
did you manually edit the file or did you open it in an external text editor?
did you move/change the image paths you originally stored the project in?

Hello and thank you very much about your Help.

It is 7 pictures and 62mb.

i have an i7, 14gb ram and some big nvidia card to render hd video it works fast and clean. I have a 2tb internal disk just to run the Projects.

I have a biger tour with some the those pictures and some more (30) and arround 280 Mb and  i can open it and work on it (not always).

The fact is that most of the times i can not even open the PTP, I mean, just the program.

Thank you again

Hello and thanks a lot.

Yes the project was created with the same version and i have try to install PTP again but i have the same problem. It is not trial version.

I did not edit any file, just the options wich PTP has inside, just differents buttons, but i have been using it for a while without problems.

No I did not change anything, just clos the project and try to open.

I have copy all the files to another computer and i have the same problem.

I will try to hide the pictures to look what happend.

Thank you

Re: I can not open the project

hmm. what else could cause this?
you can contact kolor support team via email and send them the .pano file and the project file to let them check what went wrong.

I've no other idea than opening the file(s) with a text editor and compare the content with files of an working project.
(maybe some special character accents, umlaute etc. are used in the path or filenames that cause this, etc.)

Hello Klaus,

I do not understand, i have been looking for something wrong but everithing looks correct.  What do i have to look for?.
I tried to open in 3 differents ways and in 2 differents computers.
The name of the folders looks ok.

May be there is something wrong with windows, some time ago Kolor team tell me to check the firewall and i turn of all the firewall but still the same.

Remember than some times i can not even open the Program.

I am goin to repeat this project, but i am scare about all my job. I am working on a big one.

Re: I can not open the project

I do not think you can do that.. .. By moving files you lose continuity between what has been saved.. When you open your project, does it ask where the files are??

When you open your project on a new Windows machine, how do you do that.. Did you create and save your tour to a portable hard drive or did you copy it over to one after you created you tour...

Re: I can not open the project

IT IS WORKING PROPERLY. THANKS A LOT.

answer from Kolor:

Hello,

I found an erroneous spot on the map.  I removed this spot from your project.
Can you try to open it now ?

You'll probably have to add the spot I removed, unless it was a spot that should not exist in your tour.

  Best regards,
  Gérald

I think i erase a picture i was not going to use anymore but i did not cancel the hotspot in the map. I gest that was the problem.

Thank you very much to all of you.
