In the CP editor, when you delete a CP in the left sub window (Pts Ctrl), the 2 images of the link disappear.
(Deleting a CP from one the left or right image is OK)

also on win7 64bit, APG 3.0.1. I cant see this behavior. in all cases only the CPs get deleted. even if I delete in your way all CPs the images only disappear. but in top left window the images are still listed, now makred with None in the column Linked to. After seelcting both images they are shown again so I can insert new CPs...

Strange, I can reproduce it easily and systematically :
. enter the CP editor,
. select one image in the list (left window, upper part)
. select a link (left window, lower part)
. hit 'Pts Ctrl', left window, lower part
. select a CP , left window lower part
. hit DEL key
and the 2 views disappear.

Hi Bernard!
I tested it on Win7/64 right now - i can´t reproduce it. Can you make some screenshots? I´m not sure to understand precisely.

I can replicate that OK (on XP as well)
It's exactly as Bernard says on the tin
Select a "middle" image of a pano that links to >1 other image and select it in the CP editor (so just 1 image on view)
Select the Links tab
Select one of the links
Select the Ctrl Pts tab
Select one of the CP pairs
Delete it with the delete key
The image pair disappears from the CP images
You have to do it exactly this way - if you just select just the CP pair without selecting the Link first it doesn't happen

Hi Martin!
Try to use the "-" symbol in the editor after selecting one or several points seperately.

Hi Klaus,
Here are 3 screen shots, press DEL key between image 2 and image 3 . Pressing the '-' symbol of the editor produces the same result.

On image 2, the Ctrl point #14 is selected by hitting the corresponding line in the left window. 'DEL' then produces image 3.
Instead of selecting the Ctrl pt in the left window, if you select it directly in the view, the problem does not occur.
The interest of the left window is that you can sort the Ctrl pts by decreasing RMS, and then delete the highest RMS Ctrl Pt.

I mean: select/highlight a point and press "-" in the menuebar of that window - not "Del" on your keyboard or somewhere else (maybe i misunderstood).
I don´t know this issue on Mac 10.6.8 and also not on PC Win7/64 - on both platforms it works as it should.
best and good luck, Klaus

Klaus, scroll up to my last link with the Video I made. I also did not see it. you can go to the CRTL Pts window in 2 different ways in one the Image "are visible gone" the other way they are not. It is cosmetic anyway in both variations it is not affecting the result not the workflow. the Images are also nor really deleted. but finally it is an inconsistency and so finally a bug. cant say if this is on mac too.

finally I made a new video.
three ways to get to the point you can delete CRTL-Points.
the first method in video does show the issue.
the second & third method in video does not show the issue.

Hello all,
Thanks for all those tests and detailed report. We opened issue 1710 to fix this issue.

Georg,
Thanks for taking the time to demonstrate this bug.
There are indeed several ways to select a Ctrl Pt, some are OK, one has the problem.
BTW, the problem was not present in 2.6.4

Still don´t get it. How did you delete the CP? Using a keystroke i guess?
Did you try this one after selecting a point?

Two images, ... : No !
Please follow exactly the step by step procedure i mentioned above, or the screen shots :
. enter the CP editor,
. select *one* image in the list (left window, upper part)
. select a link (left window, lower part)
. hit 'Pts Ctrl', left window, lower part
. select a CP , left window lower part
. hit DEL key
and the 2 views disappear.
4 people in this thread can reproduce the bug, I am sure you will as well ![]()

Bernard:
that´s not the way i use to work. maybe that´s the reason i never encoutered the issue.
The second reason might be: i´m on Mac.
So ii guess it wouldn´t be of any relevance trying your method.
best and good luck, Klaus
