Maybe you need a break, a vacation. Out of the city and the museums. A trip to a nice atoll in the Pacific would be nice, wouldn't it ?
You could bring along the Panoneed and the other gear. Don't forget the wires to anchor the pole to the ground, if you plan to use a pole.
Then you could shoot sunsets and some nice 360's. At home you can show us all the nice panos in the Panorama gallery.
I'm sure they will be gorgeous and with a straight and stepless horizon.

The threadstarter named the thread " "Steps" in the horizon".
I cannot in any way see how the vertical line tools can be used to reduce this problem. On the contrary, it adds new ones.
Here is why:
below there is three images with a perfectly lined up horizon.
I rotate the left and right image app 0.5 deg.
the result are shown for the overlapping zones and is as expected: "steps on the horizon".

Is this the way APG operates ? Yes, it has to be. APG know nothing about the horizon line, there is no horisontal line-tool except for planar projection.
There is no control-points, and if there were some APG would not know that there is a line. Everbody can see it, but not APG.

To help remedy this problem APG has to bend the horizon line, from a line to a curve.
This is not as easy as the horisontal line tool for planar projections, and for some reason Kolor has not made it a priority do address this.
Even after six years of users asking for it.
And I'm quite provoced by Klaus, who is touting his message to Kolor:
don't listen to them, I'm right , everybody else is wrong, don't make a tool for this problem because there is no such problem.
My message is: there is a problem, it has been pointed to for six years, it's time to address it.

No need for a tool to remedy the "steps in the horizon" problem. Because there already is a tool, the vertical line tool. Absolutely no doubt about that.

I tried to explain why the vertical line tools only adds to the problem.
