Using orientation data from microprocessor controlled head

I use a microprocessor-controlled 360 mount which creates an accurate digital output for elevation and azimuth for each image.  This data can either be incorporated into the EXIF header of each image or saved a XML file or put into any other format as required. Is it possible to import this data into Autopano to improve the accuracy of the panorama stitch in the same way that Papywizard does?

Yes, if you put the data into the format required.

several import plugins for heads does exist. the merlin head and the upcoming panoneed head xml files are compatible to papywizard format (gigapan too). papywizzard can also be used on macs, pcs and some mobile phones as standalone app witch can drive the merlin head via bluetooth or wire.
papywizard: http://www.papywizard.org/

so if your system would be able to create papywizard compatible xml files this would be a very easy way to go...

Re: Using orientation data from microprocessor controlled head

Thanks for the links that all looks very doable. I'll see how I get on.
