Guide to lining up your Rectangle Hotspot

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! 2013 big_smile

Hi

When using your Rectangle Hotspot Editor, it can be a bit tricky to line it up perfectly, so I thought I would create a Guide to assist users in editing it before and after the tours have been created.

1.    Select your pano in the main view, this will display your pano in the ‘Hotspot Editor: Panorama’
2.    Use the ‘Fullscreen’ to maximise your pano.
3.    In Fullscreen select ‘Add Rectangle’.
4.    Draw a rectangle from Top Left to Top Right, to Bottom Right and across to Bottom Left. If you do not do it this way the media you
        place in will not be place in the correct orientation.
5.    After you have done this with your other Hotspot areas, and saved your pano. You are now ready to do some final editing in the
        xml files. You must not export your pano as embed all data.
6.    Open the xml file associated with the pano you would like to edit.

Here you will find this example code… In the first line of code you are able to change the Hover Text.

.... onhover="showtext(Painting Hot Babe 1);">
      <point ath="-39.0000" atv="-21.5000"/>
      <point ath="-24.1452" atv="-25.0000"/>
      <point ath="-24.1452" atv="-0.900000"/>
      <point ath="-39.0000" atv="-0.900000"/>
      </hotspot>

The code associated with this is the animation element of the actual Hotspot. This code above is the onover state. This Guild is just for the editing of the actual ‘onhover’ sate.

The green dots represent the code, each dot works independently of the X and Y moment. You can only move the ie, Top Right in the X +/- or the Y value in the +/- values.

These graphics below will provide you with the guide and features of the X and Y values..

There is a distortion factor to be aware of.. The Up (-Y) on and Down (+Y) on A and B will increases the further you get from absolute (X)

If anyone would like me to add additional information to this guide to refine it, please advise me accordingly. If this Guide was useful to you, please give this thread Smile.. big_smile

If you find an error, please advise me..
