I have been running a large stitch job (1980 Images)... the job proceeds as I would expect for just over 24 hrs, at which time the CPU utilization drops back to ~100% of a single CPU, and it never finishes. The platform is Mac OS-X 10.7.5. I've attached a screen shot that shows some data and the process inspector after 36 hrs of elapsed clock time. It shows "5 recent hangs".... my theory is that a worker thread has dropped into a infinite loop, but that's just a theory.

im not familar with mac, so sorry for Q: are you on a 64bit or 32bit system?
(if 32bit: than every time your app coes reach 3GB or 4GB Memory than it will finally fail/hang)
next if you read Hans thread about memory ... I assume you're not running your Mac with 128GB Ram or more?
http://www.kolor.com/forum/p87033-2011- … -58#p87033
so I really cant say if waiting more 6 hours and 12 minutes will give you any result or not...
but I would refine my workflow:
use EnfuseGUI for mac (free tool) or any other commercial (photomatix, Oloneo etc.) to batch process your 660 image stacks before processing the resulting images in autopano.
the single stacks are processed sequencially. and autopano finally has "only" to handle 660 images instead of 660x3.
and with 660 images on a 16GB Ram (4cores/8threads) Computer with one 1GB GPU I would expect to get the final pano after 2-10 hours depending on CPs, Colorcorrection etc.
if you wanna stick on your oneway, you can do one more: reducing the CP's between each images (currently you've 151 average) to 100 or even less. so finally you app has 30% less work to do...

If there is not enough memory you are likely to see file-io to the tempdrive and the pagefile. Not sure how to see this on a mac, but that is what one is looking for....

Thank you both for your feedback. My Mac is 64-bit, 24Gb RAM, 8 Cores/16 CPU's.... I really like editing HDR merge details in Photoshop, so I would rather not pre-HDR merge each of the stacks.... just kicked off a new attempt with far fewer CP's, will re-post tomorrow morning when I see the results.

Hey... Thats a nice Mac setup, apg should do well with that.. Its not just RAM with a Mac its the CPU and the way a Mac is built.. I had a PC with double the RAM I have now but it did not do as well.. I need to buy a new Mac soon so its time to start looking.. One thing I do know, I will be getting similar to your set up.. Is it a Mac Pro or an iMac...

Destiny, check if you an upgrade you mac memory. I had a friend to this with non-apple memory. From 4 GB to 32 GB for about 300 euro. Now she flies.
