Hello
In the Zooomez' project we are working on, we create tours with PTPro on a Gmap background. So each visit has usually a single entry point, the url of the visit, and we have to anually edit the xml to make of each pano an entry point. We have made a macro that automates the process but it is still a waste of time and it does not seem very complicated to implement in PTPro.
Or is there another solution we do not know ?
An example on this link: http://zooomez.fr/carte/carte?lat=43.64 … =true.html
Close the window by clicking the "quitter" button. The "gateway" is the green hiker and the small hikers are the other panos, each one being an entry door..

Until V2 this may be relevant?:

Yes, I have tried the swfadress plugin, and I have been in contact with Jaydee, we have exchanged several emails... But it seems it is not compatible with the software we have developped for our map.
So actually, if we have 40 panos in one tour, we duplicate the folders and make a few changes to the 1st xml, to change the first pano displayed and the We don't duplicate he data folder, just add ../ to the adress of this folder in the 1st xml.
And this works well, as you can see on our map : http://zooomez.fr/carte/carte?lat=43.64 … =true.html
Do you have any idea of the release date of V2 ? Is there any beta version we could test ?
You can read more about our project on our website : http://zooomez.fr (under construction, but soon finished)

Hi!
I looked at your example - why does it move so extremely un-smooth?

Un-smooth ? What do you mean ? Jerky ? Slow framerate ? For me it is smooth...
Is this krpano sample smoother for you ? : http://krpano.com/tours/bkeller/
Is this direct link smoother ? : http://www.zooomez.fr/pr/ph/120327-nice … /0/vm.html
Best regards

Yes - definitely better, sorry.

I mean the way it moves is unelegant, jerky as you say. The navigation becomes clumsy. Surely a matter of taste and a rather personal feeling - but people intuitively respond to elegance or non-elegance.
We constantly get feedbacks from clients about the reaction of people who look at the panos we made for them - moving smooth and elegant is very important for them. So i guess that´s a common
feel in the way interactive panos are looked at.
But of course that´s not the only way of making them;)
- i just wanted to point you to that fact.

Klaus,
I am very interested in your opinion...
But I think I have perhaps found where it comes from... Just tell me if this one is jerky too, or smoother :
http://zooomez.fr/carte/carte?lat=43.61 … =true.html
You can also try other panos on our map.
If you give me a "direct URL" of on of your panos, I can try to put it - temporarely - on the map, just to see if it comes from the iframe.
Best regards

Hi Phil!
It´s a bit better, more "naturally controlled". But the "hand" sticks to the cursor sometimes when i release my trackpad (MacBook Pro) - and so the pano
moves on when i don´t want it to move on.
Generally i don´t like this way of navigating - but, as i said, that´s my strictly personal feeling. Al in all i can´t see any sense to run
the pano inside the frame.
In my eyes one of the major faults people make is to overfreight a presentation with features.
"Keep it simple, straight" is a golden rule which has a big meaning not only in technology but also in designing interactive panoramas ![]()
