Re: APP 2.6.4 on 32bit Vista PC - incorrect stitching

well what else can I say again: go back to my post above showing several configuration and settings screen. If you take each single value & option as I did than you have to get the same pano detected and same preview than I did and others did too...

... if its not working than one more possible issue I can remember: messed up settings stored in the registry. kolor did one or two time did mention on the forum to uninstall autopano in that case, followed by one reboot and than followed by an fresh new installation.

... if that does not work: contact Kolor, they should connect to your PC using VNC or Teamviewer and have a personal visit & and let them do the pano directly on your pc.

Perhaps unistall any and all versions of APP/APG on your system.

Reboot and then re-install V3?

And /or upgrade Vista to Windows 8?

Thanks Andrew, but I've tried uninstal/reboot/instal more than once - and after your posting, once again - but it hasn't made any difference, and Father Chrismas sent back my request for Windows 8 with a refusal on the grounds of my age - that's discrimination for you - so for the time being I shall have to falk out for an upgrade of my old PTGui licence to the latest. It's a shame because as you know from my messages on Panoguide I was a big supporter of Autopano just like yourself.

May be cheaper to upgrade to Windows 8 - just £24.99 if you take a download:

The only other thing I could think of that might expelin difference between experience on Window 8 and Vista would be possibility that graphics drivers are causing a problem?

What GPU card do you have on the Vista PC and does it have the latest drivers and pass the APG GPU compatibility tests?

Re: APP 2.6.4 on 32bit Vista PC - incorrect stitching

Andrew,
The previous version to APP 2.6.4 was running on this Vista PC. It was getting old and cluttered and had received an attack or two so I decided to revert to "as purchased" and boot up to Vista as if it was a new product. It was after this that I installed APP v2.6.4, which didn't run properly, so perhaps something there is something wrong with the OS. Anyhow thanks for the advice about the discounted upgrade to Windows 8. I'll download it and let you know if it works with APP - and if it doesn't! smile

Re: APP 2.6.4 on 32bit Vista PC - incorrect stitching

All you guys who recommended I upgrade to Windows 8 from Vista, well I gave in to you and many hours later after downloading the OS my newly purchased APP Giga worked a treat. But so many things didn't! Most anoying was getting the PC to recognize my brand new HP wireless printer (with or without USB link) but eventually that worked too. BitDefender didn't so I opened a ticket for that and whilst waiting for a reply installed a trial version. Well I may carp and critizise but on the whole am happy with the new OS and especially the special Microsoft offer of less than twenty-five quid for the upgrade., so thanks Andrew and the rest of you.

Glad to hear that Windows 8 solved the problem with APG.

My (albeit limited) experience is that Windows 7 drivers for the most part seem to work with Windows 8.
