Help on pano export (to swf file)

New Pano User here.  I have autopano giga 2.6.  So far so good.  It creates great panos and I have uploaded several to 360cities.  However, I have a new client that i do not wish to use 360cities.  I want to use panopress for a wordpress site.  So my question is this...how do I save a tour to a swf file? It looks like I need to export as that file type to work with panopress. Right now it is just rendering as jpg.  I looked at the other options for render outputs and I do not see any that match the panopress file types.  What am i missing.  Is there another way to export? Please help.  Thanks.

Re: Help on pano export (to swf file)

Hi.. When creating your tour using pt or ptp, if you choose the mobile option, the images with javascript will be created to showcase the pano on iDevices'. However, it will also create the main swf too, with all the image folders for the pano as well as the html file.. This might help you... http://www.panopress.org/

The download link seems to go the the main WorldPress page but make sure it does.. Their forum will have others who have already achived this, so you should be able to get some suport from experts in this...

Re: Help on pano export (to swf file)

doing a little more digging...does autopana giga not have the ability to create a flash file? Do I have to buy panotour pro for that? I do not need more than one pano to interact together so panotour seems like overkill.  Is there anyway to get autopana giga to work directly with panopress? Thanks in advance.

Thanks Destiny.  That sounds like it will work.  Where do I go to choose the mobile option? Is that in autopana giga?

No sorry.. you need pt or ptp or pt for your needs..  Autopano Pro / Autopano Giga and Panotour Pro / Panotour are very different software apps.. You cannot create a swf using app or apg, this software is used to stitch your images. pt and ptp are used to create your tours which will create your swf, and a lot more..

Or you can buy KRPANO and use the droplets given and edit in .XML to create a tour.....a bit more finicky but a lot more fun smile.

The following assumes you want a GUI authoring tool. If not then consider the krpano Panorama Viewer on its own.

If only want Flash outputs then you could consider Panotour (a GUI front-end for krpano), or Flashificator with Flash Panorama Player

If you also want mobile-compatible (HTML/javascript) outputs then consider Panotour Pro (only the Pro version offers mobile-compatible outputs) or Pano2VR.

Since you have no requirement to link panos in a tour then Pano2VR may be all you need at least cost.

On the other hand if you may in future wish to link panos in tour then I would recommend Panotour Pro over Pano2VR Pro  (this is the new version with a tour builder feature) although Panotour Pro is a bit more expensive it is rather easier to use.

Plus Panopress of course if you wish to embed your panos in Wordpress sites.

Re: Help on pano export (to swf file)

if you buy panotour pro than a krpano license is included. if you buy a krpano license only at krpano.com site and later want to buy panotour pro than you get an 100€ (or something like this...)discount.
currently panotour 1.8 is latest version, but version 2.0 is coming (lets say in between 1-4 months) with many many real cool new features (preview on blog page: http://www.kolor.com/blog-en/2012/07/05 … nce-ivrpa/ fist hafl of presentation is about autopano 3.0 and second part about panotour 2.0)

using panotour 1.8 and creating a tour for panopress its realy simple (many ways to success exist, I use following...):

on my wordpress its looking like this:
http://www.gigapixel.at/?p=195

here I did embedd one and the same tour created with ptp 1.8 in 2 ways:

the first one is the panopress embedded tour:
I did upload the complete ptp 1.8 tour including all folders, subfolders, files etc. and in my panopress I did add following code  to point panopress directly to the swf file created by ptp1.8:

Code:

[pano file="mozartplatz-20110416/mozartplatz-20110416.swf" width="640" height="256" preview="mozartplatz/mozartplatz-preview.jpg"]

in my .../wp-content/uploads/ directory I uploaded my tour creted by ptp 1.8 (directory  mozartplatz-20110416/ with all subdirs and files...)

the second one is a link to the original html file created by ptp 1.8 with the template I used:
http://www.gigapixel.at/wp-content/uplo … 10416.html

Liebe Gruesse,
Georg
