assigning links to objects

On some of my tours I use hotspots to show pictures. Works fine.
My question is if it is possible on the second mouse click to open an even larger version of the picture? Or link it to and extra page so that I can show the picture together with some info?

Thanks

Re: assigning links to objects

Welcome to the forum...

You can probably do that using a Link/HTML for the hotspot.

Re: assigning links to objects

That is right but I lose transparancy.
My objects are often png-files either partly transparant or with shadows, etc.
As soon as I put them in a html page the effect is gone.

?? can you show an example?

No - not necessarily. Do you have an example?
Btw.: you can put png into the pano instead.

See here: http://www.360impressions.de/WandelHalle/ The label "Start" is a png with transparency

Besides: the extreme distortion in your panos is calculated?

Re: assigning links to objects

Hello Klaus,

In the first screenshot you can see the object on top. It has a partly transparrent frame with a name on it.
I would like to create the possibility for viewers to click on the image or part of the image to link them to a page where they can order the picture. Or to show them even a larger version.
It works as an html page but than the transparant background is replaced by white or the collour of the html page. The second screenshot.

Errr...isn't that because the transparent background (of the overlying image) is transparent?!

Perhaps there's a way to make the background of a Web page transparent/semi-transparent?

Re: assigning links to objects

That is right. The transparancy is part of the picture. In this example it is a geomatrical figure but I sometimes use figures and shapes.
So I am looking at two ways of solving the puzle.
1- assigning scripting to the png picture
or
2- trying to get transparancy through the html code using the html link.
I tried but so far without succes.

How have you tried to assign transparency to the Web page background?

Re: assigning links to objects

Like this:
<body style="background: transparent !important;">

and
<body
style="background: rgb(204, 204, 204) url(none) repeat scroll 0% 50% ! important; -moz-background-clip: initial ! important; -moz-background-origin: initial ! important; -moz-background-inline-policy: initial ! important; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"
alink="#000099" link="#000099" vlink="#990099">
Panotour does not accept this option. XML parser error.

I have an example online: www.panoramix360.nl/demo/

Re: assigning links to objects

OK, the PT/PTP Link/HTML feature uses the krpano Text Field plugin as far as I know - and you can find the documenation for that here:

http://krpano.com/plugins/textfield/

But....PT/TP V1.8 incorporates V 1.0.8.14 of krpano and not (yet) V 1.0.8.15 documented at the link above, so some features may not (yet) be supported by PT/PTP.

Re: assigning links to objects

This is the code I tried:
<html>
<head>
</head>
<body style="background: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.5);">
<p><img src="images/object_01.png" width="500"/></p>
<p></p>
</body>
</html>
As html code it works fine but  in Panotour the background stays white.

Re: assigning links to objects

If I open the html page it shows as: screen-1.jpg.
The same html page in Panotour is: screen-2.jpg.
It looks like the html page is embedded in flash and flash dictates the transparancy.
Mainly my browser is Firefox.

I've been 'playing' and it can be done - see screenshot below, which shows an HTML link displaying a PNG graphic with fully transparent background on coloured semi-transparent HTML page background.

You have to hand edit the XML for the plug-in to add the background, backgoundcolor and backgroundalpha attributes - see plugin code section below:

Code:

<!--************** Hotspots and lensflares ****************************************************-->
    <hotspot name="spot0" onclick="closeallobjects();set(plugin[spot0html].visible,true);tween(plugin[spot0html].alpha, 1);" url="transtestdata/graphics/spots/spot0.png" ath="-12.6421" atv="-1.81208"/>

<data name="spot0htmldata">
        <p align="right">
            <font face="Arial">
                <a href="event:tween(alpha, 0);delayedcall(0.5,set(visible,false));">
                    <b>X</b>
                </a>
            </font>
        </p>
        <include url="trans-test.html"/>
    </data>
    <plugin name="spot0html" url="transtestdata/graphics/textfield.swf" html="data:spot0htmldata" visible="false" background="true" backgroundcolor="0x4285F4" backgroundalpha="0.6" align="center" width="500" height="500" bordercolor="0xFFddFF"/>
    <action name="hidepanospotsaction">
        set(hotspot[spot0].visible, false);
    </action>
    <action name="showpanospotsaction">
        set(hotspot[spot0].visible, true);
    </action>
    <!-- close all hotspots -->
    <action name="closeallobjects">
        set(plugin[spot0html].alpha  , 0);
        set(plugin[spot0html].visible, false);
    </action>

It would be nice to be able to set these and other krpano text field plugin attributes via the PTP GUI. You can find documentation for the other supported attributes here:

http://krpano.com/plugins/textfield/
