CR2 images have a tinge

When rendering a panorama of 7 CR2 (Canon RAW) files I noticed that (when highly magnified)  there is a tinge round the borders of buildings etc

As I initially took the photos as RAW+JPG, so I processed the same panorama as jpg instead of RAW and the tinge disappeared

I conclude therefore that there is still an issue with the way APG handles Canon RAW (CR2) files

see samples of a very distant view of Canary Wharf

(sorry - I think this should have gone in the Bugs section !)

Re: CR2 images have a tinge

this is not a bug in APG.

this is the difference between Raw files and camera made jpgs.

The tinge in Chromatic aberration. When the camera processed the raw file to create the jpg it removed this. You could easily remove it yourself if your processed the raw file in something like Lightroom or ACR.

Re: CR2 images have a tinge

Ah Thanks for that and apologies for libeling APG 3.0 smile

I'll give that a try straight away

I don't usually run CR2 files through Autopano as I pre-process bracketed images to jpgs in Photomatix first  - that's my excuse anyway !
