iOS should accept cubefaces als large as 1414x1414 pixels, is there a way to set this size for tablets when building a tour?
Now the 1024 limit is really low-res for the iPad, specially the retina ones!

I wish I had an answer. I too am suffering from lo-res panos on iPads with retina displays. I've tried tinkering with the xml and I've tried to edit the tablet_ face.jpg manually to 1400x1400. No success.
