The Merlin version can be found in the Papywizard log file just after connection, a few lines before the end. The Merlin version is indicated by the first two digits of the firmware !

thanks to Josef (Graessle; Developper of the TC Controller), I updated my Merlin had to 020781 too.

I am gonna test , whether there is a remarkable accelaration.

I would like to run couple tests to confirm the speed changes in the upgrade from 020681 to 020781.

Many thanks for the desription. Building the FTDI-TTL-cable and firmwareupdate were easy and simple. Update successfull complete to version 020781 and things speed up.
