Luis, thanks for this questions. I learned a lot. I expected to answer NOOOOOO - what a silly idea ;-)))) but hey. what surprise - it can really be done. just tested it with success - lol:
I followed this guide with my Word 2007:
http://www.walkernews.net/2009/04/24/ho … word-2007/
I used a swf file created by panotour pro 1.8 (I did no embedd the tour. I created an normal non-embedded tour by selecting an html template. In the word doc than I just used the direct path to the created swf file...

PS: I'm just creating a video I wanna upload to youtube.... I'll post the link of the final video... to proof that above pano inside word is really interactive ;-))

You can be forgiven for thinking that Georg... I have tried doing it many times over the years just to see if MS changed their options with different versions.. I used to be able to do it using Outlook and send a swf pano in an email open and ready to pan, but ever since the issue with the ActiveX, we now have to physically activate the ActiveX, so now it's not possible.. I also used the Developer option to do it which is how you can embed a swf pano into a Powerpoint too, but with my version of Office, I do not have the Developer option...
You defiantly need it to achieve this.. I could not find out it it was possible for me to add a plugin of kinds..
I just tried again with my Mac Office 2008, and found its still not possible, even after it did a big MS update.. I was hoping that by installing MS Silverlight that it would work but still no joy.. I wonder if your version of MS Office will allow the embedding of a swf pano in Powerpoint.. You should since you have the Developer option. I know its possible with some version, but its dependent on the version others have.. The other issue is.. If the viewer has not got the same version of Word or Powerpoint, then they may not be able to view it since its software dependent..
Have you tired to save your Word doc as a Web Page....
... Its really interesting that you managed to get it to work..

To get the Developer Tools visible in word I had to enable them (as shown in my screenshot) Windows button in word -> word settings -> commonly used featrures -> "entwicklertools...."
in powerpoint this was enabled (or I did enable it years ago I cant remember). Same way in powerpoint.
I found a link showing user to the developer tools -> legacy tools. Here (on Windows Word 2007/Powerpoint 2007) go to -> Active X Controls -> Other Controls to select Shokwave flash.

so, yes on my windows installation powerpoint is same as winword same steps, same resutl working to embed a panotour sef file to word / powerpoint 2007...

Not that I need to have this feature but in case I ever did in the furture, it would be nice to get it working.. But in Office Mac it doesn't seem to be the case..

I failed with using a remote address like http://www.gigapixel.at/wp-content/uplo … enberg.swf as a movie source...
and yes to embedd the data makes sense for powerpoint presentations, but less for sending word docs with embedded panos.
