I use the preview to spot potential problems. However, it turns out often things show up in the rendered version that did not show in the preview or at least not in preview looking at total panorama. I often have to zoom in from 10% to 50% and pan around the pano to find things like tripod legs. That way I often pan a lot and wait a lot to spot problems.
Would be nice if there would be a "strong" preview mode that will take longer but calculates a preview based on a f.e. 5 times higher zoom then the actual, so one can faster spot problems.

Hello,
The difference you can see between the quick preview and the final rendering mainly comes from Anti-ghost algorithm. Indeed, the computations are done on the visible part of the panorama and on smaller pictures. Therefore, it may not be very helpful to have a 'strong' preview mode as other problems can spot elsewhere.
The only way to spot the problems is to render the pano. In that way, you are sure to find all of them.

I am aware of that but still would like to prevent having to do repeated rendering. In that sense it would help a lot if preview at 10% can be done with the detail of 50%..
As an alternative, when zoomed in, give us an option to have the preview calculated also the parts of the panorama not visible in the viewwindow. This allows me to go away from the computer for longer time, came back and be able to view all parts of panorama at say 50% without having to wait everytime I pan to the left, right, up or down.
