New quality examples

Hi!

Long time no post here. Before you knew me as Nelike Imagery but now im on my own company, doing panoramas all for myself. Check out my website here: www.passojadesign.com

I have improved my picture quality a lot during this time and am here to show you couple examples and would like to know what you think smile

Here are the examples:
http://www.passojadesign.com/wp-content … kylahtml5/
http://www.passojadesign.com/wp-content … makierros/

Also if you are viewing them with mobile devices, i would also like to know how well they work. Thank you in advance!

Hey Jesse!

Regarding the quality: the panos are oversharpened and have lots of artefacts. But in terms of quality definitely inacceptable are the extreme CAs!
I suspect you used noise-reduction and then too much sharpening (some surfaces look somewhat muddy). The sharpening emphasises the CAs - but they´re too much anyway.

Think about a better lens with less CAs or try the lens @f8. If it has that much CAs still @f8 - then it´s unusable. Can you tell us about your setup?

best, Klaus

Hi Klaus!

Thanks for the feedback. Lately i added lightroom into my workflow, awesome product. Too much sharpened, depends what you like. Ok when you zoom in, it's clearly visible but i just now restricted too much of that. And now on i start masking the sharpening more be more around the edges and leave surfaces alone.

If i remember right, you and many others have complained about CA in my panos and i still have to give you the same reply. I can't see them! Colorblind as i am, it's simply not there for me. It's a thing i really can't help. In my eyes the pictures look completely fine.

My setup is Canon 7D with 8mm sigma fisheye. These were shot with f8 iso 100 with 7 brackets. I have MKIII and 8-15mm lens on my shopping list when i get enough money to update smile But for now, i have to deal with this gear.

Hi Jesse!

I suggest to use the CA-compensation im Lightroom set to "all edges" - that helps first hand. Try to see the changes when you move the sliders - for fine-tuning them. But also in default mode it helps.

Let me talk straight: you´re in danger to ruin your business passing this quality to clients!

best and good luck, Klaus

Really: i´d never guessed that! Should be looking smoother.
How do you process the 7 steps?
