Hello everyone,
presenting a tour to clients on an IPad is important to show the compatability of IPad and Panotour Pro.
Now, there is not always a decent connection to Wifi available. Sometimes you need to deal without any internet connection available.
Is it possible to store a tour locally on IPad?
Thanks
Frank

Download an app called Goodreader or alternatively make an iBook widget thingy.

I don't quite understand.. I checked out the Goodreader, but it is a PDF reader.
I would like to store the complete tour with all content on the IPad locally to be able to run it without any internet conection.
If so, - how can I achieve this with goodreader?
Thanks

Hi Frank!
Purchase "HTML-Books" from the appstore. Then take your pano/tour, zip it and put the zip onto your server. After that load down the zip usiong your iPad.
It unzips and you can store the pano/tour in the bookshelf like a usual book. Clicking on it runs your pano/tour offline on the iPad.
GoodReader can do that also - but is much more complicated.
best, Klaus

Hallo Klaus,
I am trying your solution. Until now no success yet with downloading it to the Ipad. Upload was done successfully .
I will keep on trying....

Just drop the file in iTunes into Goodreader.....then just open it as any normal file.
It's not that complicated to do at all...never used the HTML Books Klaus is suggesting though.....

Hi!
Just duplicate your "tour.html", duplicate it and rename the duplicate to "index.html", take the folder containing your complete tour, zip it and put it on your server/webspace.
Loading it down with the iPad unzips it and you can store it in the bookshelf.
With us it works perfectly.
best, Klaus

"loading it down with the iPad" ? Meaning typing the address in the browser?
Its stored in http://www.3dmoods.com/Vtour/index.zip
But I only get an error message ERR_CONNECT_FAIL
When I try to load it in HTML Books it says 'index.zip could not be processed as it is not a zip file. The file has been deleted'

Hello blitzfahrer. I just downloaded HTML Books and it worked very nicely. This is a step by step of what I did.
1. Select the folder that contains your project. Double check there is an index.html file. If not, rename virtualtour.html to index.html
2. Select the folder and zip it. I use a Mac so it is control click>compress file.
3. The .zip file is created just below the source folder.
4. Connect your iPad to iTunes.
5. Now go to file>transfer purchases.
6. Go to your main iTunes window and select the apps button.
7. A list of your apps are at the top and HTML Books shows up at the bottom with a window to the right.
8. Double click the HTML Books icon.
9. A folder named archive should have opened on the right side window.
10. You may need to scroll a bit to see the next part. There is a button that reads "ADD" Click it.
11. Find your .zip file to add.
12 Look at the progress bar in iTunes it should show the status of the transfer to you iPad.
12. Open HTML Books on your iPad and see if the project is on the bookshelf. If not hit the refresh icon at top right.
Sorry for the lengthy post but that is precisely how I proceeded.
Thanks Klaus! No more worrying about Starbucks internet when I'm presenting to a client.

You must put the xx.zip file on your server and download it via html-book´s adress-line. HERE you type in the URL of the zip! NOT in Safari!
Start html-books and say open URL xxx.zip.
