Is this a recent creation of the google maps api key as I thought that google had stopped it, hence why the move to Bing maps?

google maps plugin in panotour is based on the flash api of google... which is deprecated since march o so...

so with photokina (in two weeks) we can expect a first public version of panotour 2.0 which is based on only some days old krpano 1.0.8.15
so since krpano 1.0.8.14 a new google maps plugin for google maps api v3 is existing...
so hopefully the google maps plugin in panotours (which was never equal to the old google maps plugin with < krpano 1.0.8.14 ) is now also google maps api v3 ready.


so until ptp2 release you've two ways to go:
bing maps or OSM
or you have a google maps api v2 (flash) key you can use...

Well I guess I was not born that smart as you so, no I'm not mad at you at all:)

As I said before, I follow steb by step at Google, get API Access also key but doesn't work. Thats make me "mad"
I follow steb by step with Bing ap also get Key and doesn't work neither. Thats make me mad.

So, since I'm not expert (before using Easypano TW, which I must say was very easy to work with) and totaly new in Panotour it could be that I'm doing something wrong, I do not know?

So ANY HELP IS MORE THEN WELLCOME.

P.S. Do you know if it is possibile, and HOW, to add text description to "panorama"???

if your answer is 2, next question: was this API key issued for a domain you use for your current panotour project? if yes: it should work.
If any question above ins answered with NO, than you you have two options:

A. use bing maps or OSM
B. wait until panotour 2 is released and we've to hope the google maps plugin is compatible with option 3. from aboves google APIs

Dear Georg,

from one of my previous projects I have API swe key. However from some reason its not working and I do not now why? EVEN when I open my "old" project I've made with Easypano TW the Google map wil NOT appear.

So obviously I will wait because I have also bing maps key and its not working (there is only black empty space)

Now Panotour or Kolor need to add "quickly" just "text/description" tool AND gues what, thay will meke not just me but ALL Panotour user extremly happy.

Bing Maps doesn´t work local. You have to upload the pano to your webspace, then it will work.

which API key are you taking about?
which FQDN is your server whith the non working API?

if google api v2: is the FQDN in your tour/map the same you registered the API key for?
if not google apo v2... (but google API v1 or v3)... PTP only works currently with the v2 (for which you no longer will get new API keys...)
