Help with AutoPanoGiga - Newbie!

Greetings!

I am new to Panorama (and am very interested in it), and have tried searching for an answers online but was not able to find it, so wanted to seek your help!

1. I wanted to create 360x180 images to be uploaded to http://www.360cities.net/. Will Autopanogiga allow me to do that? Will the outputs of AutoPanoGiga be directly uploaded to 360cities.net?

I have puchased a Panogear head and plan to use Papywizard, but wasn't sure whether AutoPanoGiga was the right software to develop images to be uploaded directly to the 360cities.net website.

2. Are there any open source web based viewers (besides 360cities.net) to host the images on my own website?

3. Finally, any good tutorials on how to create megapixel images (from tripod confirguration, to shooting to processing?)

Thanks in advance!

Regards,
John

Hey John!

I´m not sure to fully understand what you mean. Do you want to have a "push once does it all" solution? AutopanoGiga is a stitcher. Stitchers stitch and render an equirectangular image (or what you want them to render). That´s it.

I don´t know whether there are apps which also upload the images to a server automatically.

best, Klaus

panotour pro can upload to a website with ftp... but I doubt it makes sense to 360cities, because panotour creates tiles and 360... you upload one single image....

hi Klass
Thanks for your response.

I have a pano gear motorized tripod for taking the photos.

I was wondering whether autopano can help me stitch the photos and create the spherical images to be directly uploaded to 360cities. Otherwise, what do I need to do before I can upload.

Thanks gkaefer

How about output of autopano pro? Doesn't it create 1 single spherical image? Will that be compatible with 360cities?

Autopano pro does only the stitching. The output will be a simple image ( 360x180 ) if needed. Then just use 360cities for uploading there.
