When looking for locations for taking Gigapixels I've always tried to look for a good combination of size and 'interestingness'. I think with this one I've managed to succeed!
~260 photos, Canon 40D with Canon 100-400L, most at 400mm with a few water/sky shots 150mm. I also included a few additional shots of some of the attractions (Pirate Ship, Roller Coaster, etc) so that I could control the position they would be in.
Unfortunately even AutoPano Giga couldn't successfully handle the ghosts on this, especially as some areas had 6 or more overlapping images with fairly heavy movement of people/rides/etc between shots. I ended up with 2 copies of several of the source photos - one was used for detection, and a second used for rendering with an alpha channel used to ignore entire sections from the rendering. An alpha channel was also used for the attraction shots so that the (for example) the pirate ship overlay shot was used correctly.
A few final ghosts, as well as some of the more major inconsistencies around the waterline, were fixed in Photoshop after rendering. There's still some areas where the water isn't perfect, but in general I'm happy with what's there.

Hey doc!
Very well done! Who cares about some ghosting . . . besides some pixelpeepers having nothing else in mind . . ![]()
