I've embedded a video, 1m30s long, originally 113MB in size. When i click the hotspot, the video is displayed but there is no sound.
1) Any ideas as to why there is no audio to my video?
2) Is the file too large?
3) How large of a video file have you ever/can i have embedded into the tour?
4) Any way to have the video window fixed to a spot inside a sphere, similar to how that directional audio feature PTP offers, where the sound is coming from one direction and volumn increase/decrease as you turn inside the bubble.
Thank you in adavance,
Regards,
ATXcloud/Andrew

Hi... 113mb in video file size is far too big unless you stream it... Even though you might have an MP4 doesn't mean your audio is the correct format... This may help...

You really need a good video and audio editing software to get the best results.. like SoundTrackPro, Final Cut Pro or Adobe Soundbooth etc.. For a video up to 2 mins long, I would look at 30mg at the very most... even that is a bit too big... but most PCs and Mac will handle it.. Streaming is much better.... Play with your key framing to keep that as high number as possible without too much lossy.., perhaps try key frame every 10.. depending on the quality of your video.. if no good, try every fifth frame...

What format is the video?

Destiny: Thank you for your insight! Streaming is going to have to be the way. I'll spend today looking into your link. I'm working with a video production team and together we are looking at plugging in many easter eggs of video through out the tour. As far as software goes, we have final cut and much more... I'm not on the post production staff, but drink beers with them. I'll relay to them to try key frame at 10 or 5. Accuring any software you suggest to get the job done is not a problem.
Mediavets: currently Quicktime Movie... we are working with Final Cut, and I am confident we have little limitations to save as any format we want.
All: looking for the best means to integrate video hotspots in just about every corner of the tour. Think video game play.

Convert it to Flash movie.
I use it here:

Or here:
http://www.360impressions.de/TourAcker.html - go to "Atelier" in the image-strip below. One of our first tours and done while it was raining "cats and dogs" . . .
Flash doesn´t run on i-devices - but video i a pano doesn´t work anyway on them and so doesn´t Quicktime.
best, Klaus

Hi ATXcloud/Andrew
If you do not need the video to work on iDevices, you have many more options.... You can stream video with no issues using either flash or a java based players..
Now here is a thing.. if you go the flash/flv way, do not use any codec's at all and key frame all frames. Import your video directly into Flash as uncompressed video which will be a big video file but the file file will be quite small.. The final flv file size will be the same if you used a codec or not, but on the positive side the quality will be very good with little to no lossy.... By far the best option is to use for video conversion would be the Adobe Media Encoder for your video and audio. You will be able to use the recommend codec's if you go the mp4 way..
These demo links is using streaming within a pano tour are flv and a java players.. They both work well but you will need java knowledge to get get the java one to work..

You cannot use these for a rec hotspot on a TV etc.. you have to use MP4. You cannot stream MP4 in this way as far as I know in using a rec hotspot..

Destiny, Mediavets, & Klaus,
Always impressed and humbly grateful for your overwhelming openess to share and help. Thank you!
General opinions here, for what we are doing, and our viewer audiance: iDevices are the way to go. We are up to paving new roads and push new limits. And the awesome compatibility of krpano/PTP tours with iDevices gyroscope has all the buzz. At the moment, I think i shall just link to an off site page for video player. Not tip top dream, but will have to do. Any other ideas or suggestions for ipad awesomeness is always appreciated. Thank you once again!
ps. this job is my first real solid photography job, gained because your assistance and patience while learned and developed my skills. Thank you! I don't know if I can say that enough or too much. But I am loving life building tours! Thank you!

Any experience working with a java player and/or streaming? Have any demo's compatible for an iDevice? Can you point me in the right direction for the tools needed for plugging in a java player to work with PTP?
- you are awesome!
