Tutorial for direct links to panoramas

Hi

I have made this little tutorial on how to use the swfaddress plugin in PTP 1.8. while we wait on ver. 2.0 big_smile

http://www.rundtur.dk/directlink.pdf

It works on both Flash and HTML5!

Hope you can use it, and comments are welcome!

Cheers

Henrik

Re: Tutorial for direct links to panoramas

Henrik,

Thank you for taking the time to post the tutorial. I tinkered with this last year and managed to get it working on a demo tour but I saved it in my "temp" folder which I purge quite often and lost it. I've been meaning to backtrack and figure it all out again but you've just saved me the time, brilliant, thanks for sharing.

Re: Tutorial for direct links to panoramas

Thanks a lot! yikes

Can you tell me if it's also possible to view these tours with a specific url like the jAddres tool? With a specific pan, tilt and zoom factor (ath, atv and fov)

Re: Tutorial for direct links to panoramas

Hey all, I tried the guide directlink.pdf

1) set up the xml and html files as described

in the swfaddress.xml
    <pano name="vinkel"
              xmlurl="vinkel.xml"
              scene= "vinkel"
              pageurl="/vinkel/"
              pagetitle="vinkeltest"
              onxmlcomplete="trace(First pano loaded);"
              />

in the vinkel.xml
          <include url="swfaddress.xml"/>

2) used the offline settings to try it local http://krpano.com/docu/localusage/

however this screen appears

http://i48.tinypic.com/20qdifn.jpg

no matter what follows behind the /#/ wont open the panorama
(for example dhmm//...../#/vinkel/?ath=-83&atv=-60&fov=86.3)

anyone? Thanks!

Re: Tutorial for direct links to panoramas

dont know if this affecting your problem...
... but in past it was more than once causing problems using spcial characters in the link  and this is including spaces... so use a-z,A-Z underscore and minus for paths/links/subdirectories/Filenames etc. and you can avoid one potential problem source.

Thansk for the quick reply smile

That's why I choose for just the simple name "vinkel" (the name of the location, town), I checked it but so far no mistakes with that.

Re: Tutorial for direct links to panoramas

Auch... my mistake

copied the whole map to

D:/testppk/

gave it permission in the 'offline settings'

but still everything after /#/ won't work hmm

so D:/testppk/#/vinkel/?ath=0.0&atv=0.0&fov=50 won't move my panorama

Re: Tutorial for direct links to panoramas

Dear Henrik/ Virtuel Rundtur,

I tried your tutorial several times. Is it maybe possible to post an example users can use offline to see how you solved this problem?

Thanks in advance,

Best regards,

Mark
