The Panobook 2012 offers the most beautiful panoramic photos of the year, selected from an international contest by a jury of photo experts. The result: an unequaled pleasure for the eyes and an invitation for an unforgettable tour throughout the world…

The team of Kolor is pleased to announce the winners of Panobook 2012 photo contest. The jury of this year, composed of Christian Bloch, Ignacio Ferrando Margelí and Uwe Steinmueller selected 150 panoramas among the 1647 photos we received. Here is the TOP 5 and the list of all selected contributors. What’s next ? Our publisher dPunkt Verlag will dedicate the coming weeks to the layout of the book and the printing. We expect the book to be ready in September.

The Panobook 2011 is finally available! From this year’s contest emerged 156 fabulous panoramas selected from more than a thousand images by a jury of professional photographers known for their attachment to the panoramic format (Jean-Francois O’Kane, Matthias Taugwalder, Harald Woeste).

What is the Panobook?

Kolor Panobook is the big annual, international contest of panoramic photography, open to all photographers, amateur and professional alike, with no participation cost. From the hundreds of panoramas proposed by the participants, a rigorous selection is made by a jury of panoramic photographers and the selected photos are printed into a beautiful, quality book. This year’s Panobook features 156 marvelous panoramic photos that you definitely have to discover.

Here are some of the panoramas selected for the Panobook 2010.

Thank you to all participants. The Panobook 2010 is already a success, with 638 participants and 1392 images received! The overall quality was high but the jury, composed of 3 famous panoramic photographers, managed to choose the 151 images that will be included in the book.

What’s next ?

The layout designer is currently finishing his work. The verification period will last about a week. Then, the book will be sent to the printer. We expect to receive the copies on mid-November. Stay tuned!

The 4th Photo Sight of Saint-Laurent-du-Var, which Kolor is the guest of honor this year, will take place this week-end and the following week-end in the nice town of Saint-Laurent-du-Var, south of France.

Kolor thanks all 150 photographers who took part in the photo contest, that included this year a panoramic photography section. The prize-giving will be on Saturday, March 21st at 11am, in the town hall of Saint-Laurent-du-Var.

Kolor will give away licenses of the new panorama and virtual tour creation program Autopano Giga, along with Autopano Pro licenses and Panobooks 2009. Other sponsors like Bogen Imaging will offer tripods and other photo accessories. The rewards also includes a DSL camera and a home cinema system.

Join us there! We will hold a conference on panoramic photography at 3pm on Saturday, and an Autopano workshop at 10am on Sunday.
