Palmela 2011 best picks: how to stitch aerial photos with Autopano Giga
Friday, June 10th, 2011
| On the booth of Kolor at Palmela 2011 festival, the conference attendees could see how to stitch images that were not shot from a single point of view. This is possible using the new Multiple Viewpoints feature of Kolor Autopano Giga software. On the contrary of the standard image-stitching techniques which require the photos to be shot from a single viewpoint to respect the lens’ nodal point, this new technique allows the nodal point to be different from an image to another. This is particularly useful for aerial imagery and any kind of parallel shooting. |
