Photokina 2012: Kolor and GigaPan partner to deliver complete gigapixel photography solutions

Kolor and GigaPan have joined efforts to promote their solutions to capture and create high-resolution panoramic images, including GigaPan motorized heads and Kolor image-stitching and virtual tour software.

GigaPan EPIC motorized panoramic heads enable to shoot several hundreds or thousands of photos for the creation of gigapixel images. Kolor’s Autopano and Panotour software enable to stitch the photos together and create the interactions in the gigapixel panorama.

Moreover, both companies work on solutions that better integrate each other’s offer. Kolor Autopano image-stitching software already includes a GigaPan import plugin that helped to easily assemble hundreds or thousands of photos shot using a GigaPan motorized head. The forthcoming upload and image adjuster application Kolor Panokit will integrate the GigaPan Uploader application.

On the occasion of the opening of Kolor’s new e-store, all panoramic products, including GigaPan heads, are offered with a 5% discount until October 15, 2012.
