Panotour 2.5.8 is available

We are happy to announce the release of a new minor update for Panotour and Panotour Pro 2.5.x.

What’s new?

  • krpano viewer 1.19pr10
    This version of Panotour/Panotour Pro generates tours using the tenth pre-release of 1.19 version of krpano.
  • Enter/exit the VR mode will keep the current scene
    The current scene is kept when entering or exiting the VR mode – which was not the case in tours generated with previous Panotour Pro versions.
  • TrueType custom fonts support
    The support of custom TTF (TrueType) fonts has been added into Panotour.
  • Youku as Web Video Viewer plugin provider
    You can now use videos from Youku in the Web Video Viewer HTML5 plugin.
  • Look to action now takes field of view in account
    Previously the “View Control > Look to” action was not using the destination FOV parameter.
  • Website Viewer plugin margins issues on mobile devices
    The core script of the Website Viewer plugin has been patched to take into account the margins set when the tour is visualized on a mobile device.

Main changes

This is the release of the new Panotour / Panotour Pro 2.5.8. It comes with some nice improvements. The following paragraphs will detail these changes.

Panotour / Panotour Pro new features

  • krpano viewer 1.19pr10
    This version of Panotour/Panotour Pro generates tours using the tenth pre-release of 1.19 version of krpano.
  • Enter/exit the VR mode will keep the current scene
    In previous Panotour Pro versions the current scene wasn't kept when entering or exiting the VR mode. This support has been added into this version.
  • TrueType custom fonts support
    The support of custom TTF (TrueType) fonts has been added into Panotour.
    Select the Edit > Open user directory menu item, create a fonts directory and add your custom TTF fonts into this new directory. All the custom fonts used in the project will be integrated during the build.
  • Youku as Web Video Viewer plugin provider
    We added Youku as video provider for the Web Video Viewer HTML5 plugin.
  • Look to action now takes field of view into account

Warning

Bing Maps V7 control and SOAP Web Services deprecation on June 30:
As announced in June 2016, end of life for Bing Maps AJAX V7 Control (V7) and SOAP Web Services offerings will take place on June 30, 2017.
After June 30, support for the V7 control will end and service availability will no longer be guaranteed.
More informations here.
So if your tours use the Bing Maps API, install this new Panotour upgrade and update your projects.

    Awesome been wanting keep current pano when entering VR mode for a while. Just tested and it works great!
