For this occasion, the Jean Paul Gaultier fashion house opened its doors to us.

The shot was directed by Pascal Tirilly. Pascal, could you tell us a bit about yourself?

I’m a film director and a film producer. My experience leads me to find various ways to write films. I have always been fascinated by new technologies and VR is simply the next level to tell deeper stories.

Why did you decide to do it in 360°?

I am in charge of producing Jean Paul Gaultier fashion shows for many years. I wanted to get into VR because I am convinced that this immersive technology is a fabulous tool for sharing this type of live event afterwards. I love the fact that viewers are totally immersed in the scene among journalists, celebrities and models.
Technically speaking, the Omni mount makes a fantastic job in various low-light environments.

How did Jean Paul Gaultier react to this 360° video?

Jean Paul Gaultier knew this medium as his team released a VR advertising based on computer generated images one year ago. However, this shot allowed Mister Gaultier to experience his own fashion show as he has never seen it.
