Autopano Pro/Giga 4.4

Today we are happy to release the final version of Autopano 4.4.As always, this is a free update for all Autopano Pro / Giga 4.x users.

What’s new?

Updated Camera/Lens database
Our camera / lens database has been updated. This database is used by Autopano to recognize the sensor size, focal length and other properties of your camera/lens and apply the suitable settings to get the best stitch straight out of the box!
The GoPro Hero 5 and Session, iPhone 7, the Canon 5D Mark IV, the latest DJI drones and many more cameras have been added to this new version.
You’ll find the complete list of cameras / lenses that have been added in the change log at the bottom of the page.We will update this database regularly but if you want us to add your camera/lens to it please let us know in this section of our forum.

Did you know?

The GoPro Hero 5 Black can capture Raw pictures. Its ultra wide angle field of view combined to its photo capabilities makes it a great camera to shoot spherical images! The Hero 5 sensor/lens profile has been added to Autopano Pro so stitching images from this camera is very easy.

Just because your camera/lens isn’t in our database does not mean that Autopano will not be able to stitch your images. Autopano will apply automatic settings to stitch your images and you will be able to update those settings if you know the sensor size and focal length of your camera.
macOS Sierra 10.12 support
Autopano 4.4 now works on the latest macOS version: Sierra. Do note that as it is a beta version some bugs might still occur. If you encounter a bug please report it in the corresponding section of the forum – you’ll find the link at the bottom of this page.
Improved control point editor
The control points editor is the place where you can see how your images are stitched together.
In very tough stitching situations – when images are filled with monochrome areas or repetitive patterns – Autopano might need help to find the right control points between two images. The new interface allows you to rotate your images by 90° increments, clockwise or counter-clockwise which makes it easier to spot and mark the overlapping areas between the images.
As a reminder, all Autopano 4.x users can try out and register this new version for free.Still an Autopano Pro / Giga 3.x user? Click here to learn the price and process to upgrade to the latest version.
Changelog for Autopano Pro / Giga 4.4 final

Main changes

The 4.4 is the new version of Autopano Pro/Giga. We worked on some nice features especially macOS Sierra 10.12 support and better UX/UI for the control point editor. It comes with a lot of bug fixes. The lens and camera database has also been updated. See list below.

macOS Sierra 10.12 support

We worked to make Autopano Pro/Giga compatible with macOS Sierra 10.12. There were issues with the settings and the panorama detection. These have been fixed.

Control point editor - UX/UI improvements

You can now rotate your images by 90° increments, clockwise or counter-clockwise, direcly into the control point editor. This can be really helpful for tough stitching especially when the camera postions are not the same from one image to another. See documentation.
