Kolor is pleased to publish online the fourth post blog entitled “Case Study”. Its purpose is various:

  • Enhance and highlight the work of a photographer
  • Present the results obtained with our software solutions and present business field where they can be applied
  • To put the photographer in touch with potentials customers

For this fourth case study, José Ángel Barbero uses the virtual tour and Panotour Pro 2.0 for promoting spanish heritage. Let us meet with this talented photographer!

José, could you introduce yourself?
I was born in Salamanca (Spain) in 1971. Since the end of the 1980′s, photography has been, and still is, for me a constant means of viewing and interpreting the world, life, and people. My specialities are social photography and virtual tours. I moved smoothly from the darkroom to the digital world, continually investigating new fields in photography, constantly exploring visual images. Over the years my work has been gradually in exhibitions and publications, and these are the paths which have gradually brought me to where I am at the present time.

Kolor team really liked the virtual tour. We found it attractive to show a part of the spanish heritage! Could you give us more details about the virtual tour?

I feel privileged to work for something that I feel profound passion. Each tour is a challenge that I face with the maximum enthusiasm, trying to deliver the best of myself. I believe that I am not only a person who is familiar with its camera but a photographer who perceives and strives to control the light. My experience in other fields of photography is the key to the results I achieve in the virtual tours. The best professional advice is to devote yourself passionately to what you are doing.

What kind of equipment should we get to make this virtual tour?

Camera and lens Accessories Software
  • Canon 5d Mark II
  • Sigma 8 mm fisheye
  • Canon 6d
  • Canon 17-40/f4 L
  • Manfrotto 190 PRO
  • Manfrotto 303SPH tripods

Do you have other projects you would like to share with us?

At the present time I am working on a very important project for a religious community – – which involves developing several virtual tours of sites related to Saint Teresa of Jesus. In the short term I also have a number of different tours programmed for various hotels and cities throughout Spain.

I love the work of José. I think he has truly innovative ways of interpreting the world and people around us. Probably one of my favorite photographers from Spain.
