Kolor Eyes Desktop is a free 360 degree video player for Windows, Mac and Linux.

It allows you to play and interact with your 360° videos on your computer. Turn at 360 degrees, zoom in and out, change the projection and apply visual effets. All for free!

The 4 available projections let you experience new ways to watch your videos. Play the video in Rectilinear mode to get an immersive view, or choose the Little Planet mode to simulate a planet and impress everyone. Kolor Eyes Desktop is just the easiest, most advanced way to display and play with your 360° videos on your computer, for free. It’s also the perfect application to showcase your 360° videos to your clients or friends, without internet connection.

Main changes

This changelog is the first introduction of Kolor Eyes Desktop, a free 360 degree video player for Windows, Mac and Linux.

Kolor Eyes is based on the most innovative technology to display and interact with immersive 360 degree videos. It offers different projection and effect modes to let you play and interact with the videos. It also take advantage of the touch technologies and the gyroscope (only for Windows version), enabling you to move your device and interact with the video for a complete immersion in it.

Drag and drop a video file to start the video.
Double click to enable/disable the fullscreen mode.
Move the camera by pointing&clicking.
Zoom in/out with the mouse wheel.
Simple click to show/hide the commands bar.
Try special video effects.
Change the video projection and move the camera.
Try Kolor Eyes with a touch screen.
Use the gyroscope functionnality to move automatically the camera (only for Windows version).

Known issues

Windows version uses DirectShow API to decode video. If the video does not start in Windows version, download and install AutopanoVideo demo to resolve the problem.
Roadmap to the release

We expect that you’ll find bugs, for sure. And we already have some bugs opened in our database. Here’s a short list of what is still under work here.
